Jharkhand is a state in India that is located in the eastern part of the country and is surrounded by the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and West Bengal. It is the 15th biggest by size (79,714 km2) and the 13th most populated with 32.98 million people. Jamshedpur is the biggest city, with a population of 1.33 million and an area of 159 km2, located in the districts of East Singhbhum and Seraikela. Ranchi is the capital and the third-largest city, covering an area of 182 km2 and housing 1.12 million people.
