Rhode Island is a state in the United States of America, located in the New England region of the country. It is one of the smallest in size and the eighth-most populous state in the country (1,050,292 estimates of 2013). Providence is the state’s biggest and capital city, situated in Providence County, with a population of over 177,000 and a land area of 47 km2. The following largest cities are Warwick, Cranston, and Pawtucket.
